I’m currently doing a research postgraduate in Statistics. This is after doing no Statistics courses in my degree.
The recent memoir of George Box is titled “An Accidental Statistician: The Life and Memories of George E.P. Box”. This blog wasn’t named after it, but it did cause a lot of swearing when I found out a week later.
This blog will mostly contain explanations of concepts in Probability and Statistics, mostly ones that are relevant to my research area, Monte Carlo methods. I’ll attempt to keep these as empty of jargon and mathematical notation as I can.
